Some’ma the ladies from the Breackfast Club Run snuck out this morning. T’was a s/moto only Gig!

did you grils have fun?
bit wet for me and the SV…i dont likes water!!
Yeah, was gr8! Had to cut the best bit out tho. I shouldn’t have been out!
Well it was gr8 apart from an Orange Bike wound up in the bushes :Whistling:We stayed on the leaf-n-mud strewn back lanes, you and the SV would not have been pleased, hence you didn’t receive The Call from me! I know dhofty grassed, but I think you made the correct choice!
Edit:Should you be snooping around in here? Oh, you’re another LB’er who saw SM and thought the forum was about Supermoto’s
Yeah, was gr8! Had to cut the best bit out tho. I shouldn’t have been out!
Well it was gr8 apart from an Orange Bike wound in the bushes :Whistling: when i got home i found a family of squirrels traped under my sump guard:pinch: i dont know how they got there:D
Are you, your new furry friends and the KTM in good shape? The last bloke to lob’it there later lobbed it again on the B1057!
haha so D lobbed it then…;)
hope bikes alright.:D.oh and you D…
oi, i can snoop!
nah mate no chance of getting me out this morning, was dead to the world:) next time its dry tho…
I must admit I never really saw the appeal in super motos - the guy I bought my SR125 from had a CCM R30 (had never ever heard of 'em before) and he loved it. Some conuts nicked it from outside his house, was recovered a day or 2 later with about 150 extra miles on the clock and smashed to bits. Problem was he said on the insurance it was garaged - but he didn’t have a garage :pinch: so I think it cost him a good few quids to get it right again.
But I digress… was on the way home the over evening and the traffic was at a standstill with some nob in a van wedged up against a traffic island. Guy in front on a moto just popped it over the island, while I was there trying to judge the width of my gap VS the exhaust
They do look like fun (and sound it) but with the same price as an old Fireblade don’t think I could bring myself to get one
/\ but aside from the above I do plan on putting in an appearance on the Breakfast Club at some point
£4£ you’ave more fun on an SM! I have an old Ducati too and that must make near twice the HP of The Riot (my old SM) with a HUGE 70-80HP! But on any meaningful road I still find myself having to back-off, with the SM you’re having to wrag’it far more of the time so the rewards are higher. 300yrs ago I moved from a sucession of CBR6’s to a Blade, yep I was faster on the Blade but wasn’t having to make as much effort;)
Jeremy Clackson did a feature many, many years ago on Coupe’s. The 3 he tested he likened to coffee. Honda Prelude was like Cappuccino, summit’telse was like a Double Espresso etc. SM’s are like a Double Espresso. My ratty’ol XR6 is like a Duoble Espresso with a Single Malt and an Red Bull poured in!:hehe:
So I just picked up a SM over the weekend.
Been interested in the SM style for a while now, and living in London, my GSXR was going to get me into more trouble!!
After riding my new bike for about an hour - I realise that I’m more likely to be a menace!! :w00t:
Picked up an '04 Husaberg BTW. The guy I got it from gave it nothing but praise - what do you think?
I’d like to meet up with some other SM riders to understand how to ride them properly. Never ridden dirt before but have caught on to the leg out, opposite lean style. Have tried backing it in to corners to. Got a few small ones no problem, then had a long slide up to a corner before being highsided!! :hehe: Snapped gear lever only - oh what fun!!
When is the next breakfast run then?
Ho humm, looks like fun on a supermoto, nice one SneakyMcC
Hows the DRZ coming along Jay?
Really? I would never had guessed that:Whistling:
You really have got a lot to learn? You dont do any of that thinking mallarky on a Motard!:hehe: If its the 650 Berg, they are the Nads! Get SM mag this month, they be doing a feature on it…
Sounds like you’ll be teaching us!!!![]()
Well…![]()
looks like bad news guys bike will not start & going to pick it up in a van :crying:got it booked in a garage this thursday.going to be off road 4 a while so no more breakfast runs 4 me:(
i think the piston rings have gone but will have to wait till it goes in shop
you dont get these probs with xr6 init sneaky
I dont wanna tempt fate. But not since I phucked up an oil change and caused a crank failure, no!
To really add to your misery, we cant even name that corner after you. Its already known as “Marks Moment” after Mark Nastyass binned it there!:pinch:
Hello Gang, im already buzzing for next week, poor old Darren ,rather an unlucky 24 hrs, still with the amount of S**t on the lanes yesterday things could have been worse…:hehe::hehe:
Yes, we could’da gone on one of MotoJims rides. He took me down the muddiest roads I’ve ever been on and topped it off by taking us through rivers!
hope ya get it fixed soon Darren! from what D tells me it werent too bad, could have been worse:w00t:
I need a new tank, the current one has a hole in I’ve only just discovered
Hunting eBay for one now… Then it’s ready for the road ![]()
