Recently I’ve been wearing my bike trousers off the bike more but thinking about getting some braces to hold them up better. Can anyone recommend some that are tried and tested for heavy motorcycle trousers? Am I over thinking this and any old pair will do? Is this a massive fashion faux pas that I should stay away from?
If you’re looking at braces, clearly fashion is not your most important criteria
My trainer at a motorcycle training school had trouser braces. Never really thought much of it until you mentioned it, so I guess it didn’t look out of place.
I use them on my textile trousers. Cheap and cheerful from ebay, about a fiver.
We can recommend this tardis-type (huge) shop
OK it’s a long way to go but there is some cracking scenery on the way
Motrax braces do the job of keeping mine hoisted up. Worth it. Strong clips that don’t let go when you adjust them, so avoiding any nipple removing accidents!
J&S have them in stock at Hanger Lane (I’m going to ask Paul for commission soon)
I use these when I can’t be bothered to zip my
hideout trousers to my jacket, which is most of
the time as that is so restrictive.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I’m now working right by Hanger Lane so I will pop into J&S to have a look.
