Had to drill out some seized bolts on the Bandit yesterday and want to buy some replacements, preferably stainless and allen heads rather than the silly standard screw heads that just chew up.Anyone know of a good engineers merchants or fixings and fasteners suppliers in the Orpington Bromley area?
Cheers.
Ive probably got loads of standard spares if you can tell me which bolts you’ve chewed up er… sorry i mean need replacements of?
There is a shop up there, cant remember what its called I’ll get back to you. What bolts were they cos’ you might need the high tensil ones?
It’s only the ones to fit the rear seat fairings, ones at the top under the seat. Also the one that fits the chain guard/tax disc holder.
Need to try and get then today and thinking of getting some others to replace scruffy ones etc.
well whatever you decide don’t go to suzuki and buy over the counter! they pull down ya pants and insert the corporate shaft Their standard stuff is more over priced than most of the other manafacturers
Suzuki dealer wanted to charge me £200 to do the steering head bearings I’m doing now, bearing kit has only cost me £20 and with whatever the bolts coat that will be it,
justbandits.com should see you right
or ‘Screwfix’ warehouses. There’s a few around. You can get all sorts there.
I have a screwfix account but bolts tend to come in bulk and only needed a few.
Found a place in Bexley called Modern Screws and bought some stainless stuff, not quite right but will do the job and it’s largely hidden areas. The chap that served me had just done his CBT.
Couldn’t use Just Bandits as needed it fast.
