My recent acquisition is a little worn, can somebody tell me if the body work is painted or just polished plastic?
As I recall, they have a patent process for layering and bonding plastic paint on to the base plastics. So I guess the answer is “Yes”, it’s plastic and paint.
Unless you get better advice later, I’d suggest you give a small inconspicuous bit a damned good seeing to with a power buffer and polish and see what happens.
Spray cans were made just for that if you polish through the plastic overcoat.
