Just picked up a pair of Blackberry Bold’s and although I have got them paired together, I cant transfer Files between them.
I have tried just sending the files, and have tried the “recieve files” option but neither work, it just says unable to connect although were already paired.
Normally to transfer files by bluetooth the receiving device does need to accept the incoming file. If you are not getting a dialogue box asking whether you want to accept the incoming file check the devices security settings and bluetooth settings.
Haven’t tested blackberrys for a long while so can’t remember where these options are in the menu structure.
Both devices are set to Accept,Authorise, everything.
When I try and send a file the other Blackberry dosent even acknowledge a file is trying to be sent, even if I put it straight on recieve files it just says Cannot connect. Its getting rather frustrating.
have you linked them to a PC to see if there is any firmware updates? I’ve not tried with my bold but thanks for this I will have a play monmday when I’m back at work in case this is a global issue…
actually you know what, I went to an O2 launch thing after seeing them and what they lack i would rather stay with my blackberry, I actually wanted an iphone until I attended this now I dont
Check forums like crackberry. Data transfer via bluetooth on BB’s is not possible - only really good for handsfree devices. Works best if you sync with PCs.
