After visiting family in Duisburg this july I plan to head off on the bike to the black forest , maybe via the Eiffel area .
this will be a solo trip and am looking for small biker friendly campsites … must have a bar/restaurant nearby .
have checked all the websites but specific recommendations would be good .
Thanks T.C , Wolfach looks just the place so will do just that and use it as my hub . I have spent a lot of time in Germany but mainly in the upper Rhine going back to my time in the army . Love the Hertz area too but also worked for a while on the shores of Bodensee so may take a trip down there too .
just need to brush up my german speaking … always nice to speak the local language when one can .
