Bikers Dirty Neck

When I have a proper soak in the bath - I find that scraping a fingernail on the skin of my neck tends to result in a lot of what can only be described as dirt under the nail - this obviously comes from riding the bike and is worse if it’s been raining because the dirt gets sprayed onto you. My shirt collars get filthy as a result of this (and i don’t even wear them on the bike!)

I reckon us bikers must have some of the dirtiest necks in the country?

If i get soaked i get a dirty neck.

johnp gets a dirty ass !!!:w00t:

smiled:).

even more so in town, and the rain, proper grotty, :hehe:

Get yourself a Buff - good to wear all year as they’re nice and light, stops the strap chaffage too.

Also double as a sun hat when your lid’s off and you’ve forgotten your sunscreen or a baldy bince protector when it’s cold.

Multi purpose and the best £10 you’ll spend - Bar and indded Gain.

Urrghh you dirty bugger! did’nt your mum always tell you to scrub your neck:w00t:

Yeah - I went round for tea today and she saw my neck and gave me a thick ear! :crying:

Thanks DeKerf I’ll look into getting the Buff!

Good job she did’nt check behind yer ears!:w00t: cos i bet you got a field of spuds behind them:D

And what about the crap that comes out your nose when you blow it after a ride through London!

URRGGGHHHHHH!

Yes Shane it does get dirty after you`ve been near it.

White shirts with a collar have no chance even if you do wear a scarf or neck warmer. Yuk:(

Gotta say ive never noticed this. Paranoid now and gonna have to check this evening.:ermm:

Don’t wash and and you’ll have a great looking tan

Be prepared for a shock mate - I like to think that I am a clean person who showers every day (my neck on the avatar looks nice and clean) - but the dirt can get really ingrained around your neck which is exposed to the air. The dirt tends to scrape of most easily after a fairly good soak in a hot bath.

At least it’s not as bad as if you blow your nose after going on the Tube. That’s REALLY scuzzy

Buff’s.

They are the future.

Also treble up as a balaclava if it right perishin’ guvnor. Took mine off after a hoon around the countryside in the hot weather and found a dead wasp and a dead bee that otherwise would have been sticking out of my neck.

Top tip, put it on before your helmet.

I had a Buff a few years ago, very useful. Think I got it in Snow+Rock. Makes a great pirate’s bandanna too, used to wear it like that at work and people thought I was barking HAH!
