130mph, the highest speed recorded on an A road?
Surely not:cool:
i for one have never exceeded the speed limit…
surely the sentence is more about the merry go round he caused and NOT his excessive speed…
w
+1…wouldnt dream of it, Im a sensible 'onda rider
Think it should be more highliting the fact he was disqualified rather than just the speed…
Same here. I still cannot work out why the purveyors of my Kawasaki motorcycle thought it necessary to include an engine which makes it capable of exceeding 150m.p.h. when any fool knows that 70 m.p.h. is the national speed limit! Sledgehammer to crack a walnut methinks!
:hehe::hehe::hehe:
+1
disqualified and took them on a 23 mile chase… should to be the focus here
disqualified, so un-insured, so liability. I hope they lock him up for a long long time. Don’t care about how slowly he was going, but he did draw big resources away from proper crime fighting, like chasing stolen bikes and the like. Silly twat. No sympathy from me at all.
Yes, running is silly as he would been wise to stop and accept the punishment.
A quote of the article: “Excess speed is one of the main causes of collisions.”
This statement have been proved false, time and time again. Why can’t that admit to poor driving skills and bad roads are to blame for most accident … Oh wait, that would cost too much money to solve, so let people continue to kill themselves and/or others, whilst the government makes money from speed cameras!
i think it should be more pat on the back for the forces involved, rather than - ohh look, heres another member of the delinquent race known as the bikers…lets compare him in the evil biker hall of speeding fame…
+1 After intially seeing the amusing side I agree that the guy is an arse and people like him are going to f8ck it up for the rest of us.
We all need to keep our ‘spirited riding’ as low profile as possible - if we are going to carry on riding powerful machines and not get interfered with by the nanny state then we need to keep our heads down and not draw attention to ourselves.
Ride like butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth when you are in close proximity to the public/police - do the fun stuff in locations/at times when the public/police are not there to get annoyed or come into any bother as a result of it - that way everyone is happy.
Hey, I’m not condoning his actions … He ran from the cops and should pay the price, but I hate that the statements always read the same crap … speed kills
Ok the guy speeding was riding a bike but if they are going to go on about how speeding is dangerous and all that why target bikes and just use examples of them speeding, what about all these people in high performance cars
