Back on topic … sensationalist Journalism and it’s crap. I know that there must be journalists out there who are good people, there just has to be and maybe I will meet one … one day :unsure:
Crap journalism that is all. I studied to be a journalist and hated the lying bastards, so went into IT instead by route of volunteering. Journalism at a higher level is good, but the basic rags/tabloids are gutter food.
got to agree makman, gutter press in the Uk is the root of many many troubles here in the UK…pure and utter nutters, I had a conversation with one recently and all he could talk about was uncovering some royal scandal that would make him money…complete and utter toe-rags.
They do the same with race which is why I get annoyed when people here do it without even reaslising it. How often do you read the white teenager stabbed another white teenager??? Race is only ever mentioned when the perpetrator isn’t white - really annoying 
Ok, for what it’s worth, not all journalists are sensationalists. I work for Bloomberg and we’re basically banned from using adjectives. We can’t write BA Posts Massive Profits'' because who says it's massive? by what standard? We have to sayBA Profits Rose xx Percent’’ so we’re accurate. We can’t even say something like gas used for heating increased because of cold weather'' unless we call the met office to get figures to back up the temperature. When I worked for Reuters they didn't even use the word terrorist in regard to the attacks on New York and Washington in 2001 (drew a lot of complaints that one). Now, I hate crap journalism. I hate Madonna endlessly called `the material girl' I hate the move away from facts for the sake of a cheap headline, as in this story. I also get pxssed off by comments of theall journalists are wxnkers’’ variety.
