As I left the Ace this evening I saw a bike spinning in the road behind me just before the speed camera, terrible sight, sickening, pulled over and dropped mine off the stand :crying: but after I’d picked it up the chap had walked off, I assume back to the Ace ? Anybody know what happened ? Hope he’s OK.

I suspect he simply gave it a bit to much wrist coming onto the down ramp and it span up, hope that’s all it was, didn’t see anybody else involved but it all happened behind me so hard to tell.
Mine is OK, scratches on the fairing and screen and a broken mirror, not too bad, think I just didn’t put the stand down properly, too much of a rush 
its horrible when it happens though.
We saw the blue lights there but that was a while after you left. Didnt hear how the rider was though.

No, somebody else picked it up for him I think, or he did, and it was on the side stand. Glad he was OK, funny how you feel an affinity for other bikers even though you don’t know them. I’d try to help anybody who had an accident regardless of what type of vehicle but it’s different for bikers.
yea see it happen the guy was racing down the a406 and didnt see the camera till the last minute and locked his fron tbrake, he was fine got up and walked away
was that the young lad on the supermoto??
i believe he was ok, bike wasnt too mashed, so i think he was ok, ambulance was on scene.
looks like there was two offs by the camera?

The A12 was closed today from Barley Lane to the Moby Dick. I heard that there was a Motorcycle/Lorry interface:pinch: That always sounds fatal… Not sure if it true? Hope the bike not to bad Slarty?
Dont know what was involved but i see the air ambulance , two fire engines on scene for about an hour air ambulance was in attendance for about an hour traffic cops where doing their thing for about two an half hours so dont look good didnt see much else as was up a towercrane by the tolgate boozer .
Slarty … you’re a top person for doing something like that … and evewilling to accept the consequences to your bike as a result of your good nature.
How much to fix your bike? I think some donations from mebers would help out … and reward for your good nature.

Thanks for the offer, very kind of you but it was my fault for being a plank, if I’d made sure the stand was properly down it would have been OK 
Damage is very light anyway so a mirror from eBay will do it.I think there must have been two incidents as suggested above as the chap I saw come off appeared to be walking away just a few seconds later, probably unlikely to need the air ambulance.
The bike I wanted that for was sold twice on eBay, I’d agreed to buy it and paid a deposit then his son sold it again for less than I was offering before I went to collect it ! Muppet 
I think his son had a thick ear for a few days ;)
