I am quite impressed with this one. Imagine fitting one to a nice big powerful bike, the missus would never complain and you could possibly get 3/4/5/6 people on your bike. 3 people go in the trailer:P
Great for touring I would say.

screws up the handleing of the bike.
though i did once see one that allowed the bike to lean, that i would like
But probably quite bad for rush hour filtering! :D:P
If I had the cash I would get a 1400cc bike or equivalent just for this, so touring only with side car and maybe trailer:))
Still can you imagine the grin on anyone’s face inside the sidecar? I bet yoru kid and missus would love it and even as a biker:) Must crazy fun like on a rollercoaster.
No it isn’t actually, there is a stabilising bar underneath them and the bike doesn’t lean. You get stuck in traffic as it is too wide to overtake much with. As a child 4 of us used to travel together - Mum & Dad on the bike, 2 kids + luggage in the sidecar, because it was cheaper than a car. Can’t remember it being too much fun really, and it was not very comfortable.:w00t: It looked a bit like this but no screen on the bike:
he he but on a busa or a gsx1400 or equivalent and the side car wheel is pretty beefy I imagine you can pull a lot faster than your dad could:D and overtake, of cousre you wouldn’t filter and wouldn’t be much fun in the city but for touring…
This looks pretty sweet on the Honda:

“Riders Digest” have done a couple of articles on this sidecar in the last year and it’s come out with good reviews.
I still think they are a haemorrhoids transplant and wouldn’t want to be the recipient of either.
Sidecars were only really relevant as a way of carting your missus and possibly kids about in the 1930’s to 50’s when people rode motorbikes because they (like most of the population) couldn’t afford cars - nowadays when most people can afford a car (and if you can afford a motorbike chances are you can afford some kind of car) they are irrelevant.
The bloke that owns/runs Motopodd, lives a couple of hundred yards from me, I must admit I don’t get the idea. Personally I’d go for a proper trike if I needed something like that.
Well advantage is youc an remove it and have a proper bike:) like I said if I had the cash laying around I would get it, probably the same fit, that black honda bike and the sidecar. Forgot the name of that Honda cruiser sports bike bastard son:)
