bike shops in hong kong and Taipei

A Taiwan made helmet can cost as little as less than 10 pounds, if i get the exchange right. Shoei and Arai cost around 200 - 215 pounds. Scooters swarm everywhere in Taipei, just lovely. So many scooters park at road side everywhere, supermarket parking lot are full of scooters. because of the hot weather nobody wear protective clothes except a half helmet. Taipei is a paradise for anybody who loves foods.

jez im hungry now…

Am I the only one who finds it a little worrying that the lady in the takeaway is wearing a facemask?. :ermm:

I’ve not been back to Taipei since 1990 when we left and moved to the middle east… but i really want to go back and check it out, wander around my old school, see my old home and that…

I remember when I lived there that it was mental with the bikes, i remember one incident in a taxi when a scoot in front was carrying a gas cylinder on the back and it fell off and the cab crashed into the cylinder - scared the sh*t out of us in the cab, we thought it was going to go bang

Were you in Taipei or elsewhere in Taiwan?

i saw some scooters with reinforced back rake carrying 2-3 gas cylinders. it is hot and steamy, but many of those shop assistants handling foods wear masks, for hygiene purpose, not for SARS scare.

Man, thanks for those pics, that food is definitely making me hungry!
