Bike Covers

Where do you store it when you’re not using it? This applies more when its raining as you can’t exactly put it in the house to get the carpets wet so what do you do?

Also, one other thing is it bad to put the cover on straight after using the bike i.e. hot exhaust etc…??

Roll it up in a ball and put it somewhere safe - that’s about as much use as I can be on that first question :cool:But I always wait about 30 mins before putting the cover on, as the exhaust can melt it quite easily. (Hasn’t done yet, but it did melt the plastic covering on my chain when I put that on too quickly.)

+1 to the roll it in a ball answer.

I do put my cover on straight away after riding and my underseat exhaust has never burnt my cover.

fold it and put it in an cheepo plastic storage box

cheers guys. been putting my cover on straight after riding and it seems quite tough and no damage yet so we’ll see

i always put mine straight on but not onto the exhaust straight away leave it ten mins then pull it over the exhaust(after a cuppa)

best way to store it i think is to hang it up let it breath and dry out etc

I put mine on straight on. I did melt a small hole once when the end of the exhausts touched the thin part of the cover… Just careful from now on that they don’t touch (they’re underseat so only the ends can touch)

When I don’t use it I leave it locked where the bike is normally locked. It stays off the floor with the waterproof side up.

If I have to bring it in the house, just leave it in a bin liner…
