Husbands looking for a track bike at the moment so thought a bike auction would be a good place to start but cant find where any are held. Also, anyone know of any decent bike brakers yards?

To be honest I looked intently for a decent bike auction around london and really struggled! You can all, call us northerners what you like 
But one ting we have plenty of is bike auctions.
So my advice would be if a bike auction is what you want i’d head north. I used to go to one in Wetherby near leeds.
However the best bargins had nowerdays are actually from ebay. My beloved gixer I ride now was bought as a wreck from ebay which I stripped re-built and re-furbished
Search for Cat D write offs and track bikes. Also a sneaky tip which is my best one 
is search for street fighters. People make the worst bodge jobs of sports bikes into street fighters when it would be easy to pick up parts from ebay and put back to stock. Best age to look at to keep your money and find resonably priced parts is around 2001-2003. Newer stuff will cost to much to restore back to stock unless a track bike is what your looking for?

Hes been looking at cat D write off’s and ebay but hasnt come with anything yet. Think he was looking for something he can fix up to use on the track rather than be ready to use straight away. Dont think he’d mind traveling up north if he knew the auction was any good. Obviously I know you cant guarantee what will be there but if its got a good reputation I’m sure he’d be willing to travel. I’ll get him to have a looksy at the gixer website too. As far as I know, he was originally looking for a 600gixer but I dont think he going to be fussy if something else was to come along!

There used to be a good bike salvage online auction place down on canvey island and i’m sure they have a website do a google search:D
