Best Glue for fitting fender extender?

evening all,

fitting a fender extender and wanted some advice on what adhesive to use to bond to the fender. UPVC or maybe sikaflex? Don’t want to use the self tappers that come with it and drill the bodywork plus they look awful. any advice greatly appreciated

self tap it or loose it down some backroad somewhere - sorry mate

self tap it is really the best way mate…if you insist on glue, araldite

Gorilla Glue

This is the strongest stuff I’ve ever used!

Be careful tho as it expands out from the joined surfaces a little. You’d have to mask around the bits to be glued to ensure none expands out onto the fender/extender.

Would recommend gluing something else first just to see how the stuff works;)

i just used silicone sealer, just make sure both surfaces are clean and use plenty:D

araldite is stronger than both, trust me i sell them all

get yourself a rivet gun much neater job and flush ! one in the middle and one each side, held on my blackbird at 178mph at woodbridge airfield !!!

Whats the fit like on the underside of the fender as I was a bit worried about the crud being caught in there and collecting? Did you remove the adhesive strips? as they seem like they would be more hinderance than help.

no keep the strips on to help you line it up then take them off after drilling holes for the rivets if you prefer, the rivets are flush both under the mudguard and on the outside, no problems with contact on the tyre !

Sorry banjax I meant between the fender and the fender extender on the underside. Did the rivets hold the extender flush to the fender itself? As I was concerned there would be a gap and it would collect all the water and dirt I was trying to avoid

i left the double sided tape on to avoid that
