Bespoke leather saddlebags

Hello,

I am a new convert to LB. A cool site for a cool community…

I have an old Harley Softail Custom and I am looking for a craftsman who could make me a set of saddle bags which I can throw over my shoulders when leaving the bike (the attached photo gives you a sense of what I am looking for).

Anybody knows where I could find such a business or craftsman?

Many thanks

Sorry can’t help you with the bags C.America but welcome to LB post up a few picx of your ride in the members section.

Crikey I dunno, but I presume the horse’s ass is an option?

Perhaps a horse-kit shop would make’em to measure - what are they called? Ferriers or summat?

Anyone?

I know there are a few places who do hand made stuff including carved leather stuff too. They have reps at a lot of the major rallies, gimme a few days and I’ll try to get hold of their details…

… Oh, and welcome to LB.

Hey Captain America, welcome to LB! Definately post up a picture of your ride in the Pictures forum for us!

Thanks v much for your warm welcome guys. I am still a bit slow at figuring out how to reply and navigating around the site. Haven’t found the pictures forum yet but I will figure it out soon.

Must get my skates on to get some pix of my ride.

You will be okay mate, some of us are here from the begining and still having trouble, lol

Hello and welcome - a tack shop would be a good bet as they’re bound to know someone who could fashion a means of adapting either existing saddlebags or similar.

See you at Cubana

“Bespoke leather saddlebags”…… it that some sort of euphemism?

Perhaps…

…in your world my friend…

Brick Lane. They’ll make you anything out of leather

Thanks, do you know which shop or where in Brick Lane?

North end of Brick Lane, there are a few shops which specialise in leather bike stuff. Can’t give you any names but you’ll see the stuff in the window.

OK Thanks. I’ll go and have a curry and check it out

There’s a very good and reasonably priced place on the corner of Brick Lane and Bethnal Green Road, right-hand side as you’re looking North. Will save you having to walk the length of Brick Lane dodging the overspill of Hoxton trendies

I’ll go and have a look tomorrow.

Thanks
