Apparently they’ve defused it, but Haymarket, Jermyn Street, parts of picaddilly circus and surrounding streets are still closed off while they do forensic tests on the car so avoid if possible

I was on my way to Stratford on the tube and ran for the tube…ment that I got on the train before the one that went up at Aldgate East!
Then I had to walk for 6 hours to get back home.

when I bought this house we got rid of the rank garden and barro,d it all…cut back, re-levelled and then went to work on plants and bushes…when I got round to laying the stones…we dug up what was to me …something like a small fire extinquisher…exting…extinkwish…fuk it…you know what I mean…
Turns out to be an incendary device dropped on railway yards during the Uncle Albert.
we was having a BBQ at the time (loadsa mates) and was all well on the sauce when I made the call to report it.
By the time the police turned up to ask where it is…I pointed em out to the garden and low and behold…some fukers put it on the BBQ !!
One party…rudely interupted by a police evacuation and me neighbours got turfed too !!
I was flavour of the month for a year !!!
One burnt ex german firebomb that would have done more damage if I had thown at ya !!
I think everyone has stories about 7/7. That day I chose not to walk to Aldgate and get the tube to my client.
I’m not scared, life must continue and hope that the powers that be are able to prevent this kind of thing happening.

It’s a silver Mercedes.
It’s on the March Route for Gay Pride tomorrow, so it’s quite likely to be related to that.
Sad facts are that the powers here do not have the people power to catch all people with a view of hurting others in this way. All it takes is a small group of 5 to kill many .
I do feel sorry for all you people on public transport as you are the ones who think about when and not if there will be another attack when you travel to and from work.
Also, Sky and BBC are not the best places to get information on what happens in relation to these sorts of events.

The charge is described as “massive” and bears all the hallmarks of an al Qaeda or another Islamist extremist group.
The area up to Piccadilly Circus has been cordoned off as forensic officers examine the type of device in the car. Two propane gas canisters were removed from the vehicle and a large number of nails seen on the floor in the car, recalling such attacks in the Middle East. A witness says the car was driven erratically into bins near the Tiger, Tiger nightclub after 1 a.m. and the driver ran off. Police were alerted and cleared the area as they made the device safe.
DEBKAfile reports: The location of the abandoned rigged Mercedes in the busiest part of London points to the intention to cause a massacre rather than attacking a strategic or government target. The Cobra emergency team meets later Friday.
The bomb was timed to coincide with Gordon Brown’s first cabinet meeting as prime minister and Jacqui Smith had her first day as home secretary, an apparent warning that Tony Blair’s departure does not change the terrorist threat to Britain.
Scotland Yard had no intelligence about the attack, which would have occurred a week before the July 7, 2005 suicide attacks on London transport.
Sorry, but that is all speculation, and really shouldn’t be believed. There’s no fact in it, because none have been released yet, it just “seems” more certain about it’s opinion.

Having read it again, it’s all just opinion, with a couple of facts.
It’s my opinion that it was left by Scotish School Children as a firework display to Celebrate Gordon Brown’s premiership.
That’s just as valid until facts are released. Hysteria does wind me up.
