Barrel and piston blown up

This story is months old but i thought id share it with you anyway:)

The first do i got my scooter on the road i was very excited, I couldnt wait to go out for a ride, So i get my gear on and go out the first 5 minutes into the ride the scooter just stoped, So i rang my dad and he came to take a look at the scooter. The kick start was solid so he said push it back to the house so we could take a look. So i get back to the house we stripped it down and took the barrel and piston off, What happend was the small end bearing was made out of plastic and it broke and made the little pins come out and one of them went down the barrel to the bottom of the crank shot back up forcing its way up between the barrel and piston and hit the top of the cylinder head and went streight into the top of the piston. I was so upset because it only had a engine rebuild a 400 mile ago, My dad was more pissed off at the last owners who put the plastic small end bearing instead of a metal one. My dad made me feel happy when he said this is an excuse for a Polini 70cc light weight racing barrel and piston:)

New polini light weight 70cc racing barrel and piston

And then…?

well the scooter is running lovly to this day and is very nippy (for a scooter)

Yes they are but i forgot to say that he didnt pay for the new barrel and piston i did lol

And then…?

And then i lived happly ever after…The end
