banditownersclub

Well as you know I bought ginger_pixie’s bandit last week, and after the excitement, a few beers and a recommendation paid some cash to become a member of banditownersclub… so paid it last Friday… and have heard **** all since, despite emailing the contact address, etc.

Is anyone here a member, or have I been taken for a mug :angry:

mark

ive posted for some help, it is getting sorted. sorry for the delay. ill keep chasing it for you.

wots this, free advertising on londonbikers eh?eh??!!?!?!?

ok then, cbc, cbc, cbc, www.citybikerscrew.co.uk :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

City Biker Screw Whats that then?

Yeah, i’m a member of banditownersuk too, joined shortly after I came off my bike last month, on suitsyousir’s reccommendations and no offence to him, as I appreciate all your help, but I have found the banditownersclub to be a bit lacking, but maybe I’m just comparing it unfairly to LB. It took me a few days to get my registration sorted too after I had payed, also started to worry about it but did get registered after a short while.

some fair points, the forums are not as busy as they are here. it is good for bandit specific advice and if you need help there are plenty of people who can and will assist, as there are on here. they also do offer plenty of discounts with your membership and a free national rally to all members, plus free tickets to various shows including most, if not all of the BMFs.

any constructive critiscism is always welcome, and i will pass back this and any other feedback to the powers that be. ive been a member since 2003 and made some bloody good mates, and even ran the club for a little while so i suppose i have a biased opinion.

i suppose it goes back to the old “you get out of it what you put in”. i have put alot in there and got a lot out of it, hence my reccommendation.

as with this site its run by people in their spare time, with full time jobs and families so sometimes things do take time. there are currently one couple running the memberships, if they are away for a few days it may take a while to come through. perhaps they need to consider adding other people to run memberships too.

with respect mark, you did pm me asking me about the delay and i said i would enquire and i have and its been noted and getting sorted. apologies again for the delay, i will give them a push and see what i can get done.

Some might say this was a “bum bandit deal”;)

Didn’t you see some of them at the Ace with their jackets last week? :ermm: Up to that point we had thoughts about joining

Greeting to all at londonbikers.:)My name is Stuart and I am one of the Vice Presidents of the Bandit Owners Club.

Suitsyousir has raised this point with “the management” and it is being looked into as we speak. He is right when he says that the membership is dealt with by a couple who also have a life outside the club.We all try to help in our spare time and sometimes things take time to sort out.

Joining the club will give you access to suppliers and events as well as the annual national rally and loads of help and advice.

I too have made some bloody good mates in my time with the club but it is very much “you get what you give.”

I am not trying to plug the club,as i’m sure some of you will think:cool:,I just wanted to put your minds at rest that its not a con and we will sort it for you.:PI was at the Ace last week…you should have come and said hello:D:D

you have to pay??? whats all that about??

Surely buying the bike in the first place is enough!!

Oh well - i don’t own a bandit anyway!

i mght join seeing i now own a bandit 650 k8

Full membership to the club costs a poxy £12…For that you get the website of course…with access to all the usual chat / jokes etc that all sites have.:ermm:

You also get loads of help and advise for when things go wrong…:Whistling:

The club has stands at all the BMF rallies which members get for a very reduced rate (if not free). The National Rally is held once a year and that is all free (apart from the booze…we havent won the lottery yet !!)

The club is at Santa Pod next weekend if its not snowing and entry was reduced for both gate entry and the RWYB.

You get discount at over 40 suppliers of goodies which can repay your membership in just one purchase.

the club gets no support from suzuki even if you did buy a Bandit from them !!!:smooooth:Its run totally by Joe average in their spare time.

Non members can get limited access to the club website…just not the best bits.

Its very much get off your a**e and go and meet people .you never know you may like it.

As yet we have no R1 or R6 members but there is always a first time I guess:D;)

Marklid…

You have been added to the members list on the BOC…you should be able to access the site now.

Give it a go …any probs feel free to e-mail me .

OK, have received the email confirming my membership.

Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate that people are having to run this in their spare time, but to hear nothing after having paid money was a bit worrying.

Cheers for sorting it though, will have to have a good look round the site !

Might need to change the avatar there Ginge!
