B*gger & Damnation

Well I saw the consultant this morning and got the MRI scans back.

Not good, S1/L5 degeneration in the disk (dehydration), that has caused the L5 vertebrae to become misaligned. Added to that due to the degeneration it has split and have a bulge on to a nerve. The good news is that it is slowing healing and will eventually correct itself. Until then some pain and discomfort.

At least I know what is causing it all, and what to do to minimise that problem.

Does any one know someone who can scan MRI/X-ray negatives? Would like to get the film things digitised.

Sounds blimmin painful mate…time to give up the pole dancing…

Sounds nasty mate.

Is this the result of an off?

I have the same Kevsta, two herniated discs pressing on nerves so I know how you feel.

My last MRI was 6 months ago which showed some improvement which meant no op as it will fix itself.

It is less painful as time goes on so bear with it

Carlsberg Export seems to help

i used this place before my op 2 years ago and they emailed me my results…

they might be able to have a play with yours…

your pics that is

3 prolapsed discs to date - going to see the specialist again on thursday and then an all body MRI as the back pain may have been the result of my off in 1992 (Broken right tibia) since then I have favoured the other leg (so they say) which has misaligned the knee, up to the hip and ultimately terminated in my back.

They say prolapsed discs never heal 100% - all you can do is stop going round like youre 21 and do regular excercises!

Yours faithfully

Darn, I was going to be doing an exhibition show, was hoping that you would be in the front row pushing £20’s into the tiger skin posing pouch! :w00t:

Predates my biking career, started with just some stiffness, and occasional bouts of pain, but nothing on the scale that I have experienced lately.

The day just gets better:

Sorry to hear of your bad back but at least you know in time it will get better.

I never hurt my back, though I did land on one shoulder, when some dimwit made a left while in the rightmost lane. It healed just fine but it left a bone spur, and that causes problems for me to this day. Bone spurs, Arthritis, bad backs, and such are the price you pay down the road for riding now. Its why I ride a “standard” instead of a sport bike. Too much load on the arms is painful. The years are catching up with me.
