Autocom Calls

I’ve had an autocom system hooked up to my zumo since summer time, and no amount of adjustment allows me to actually have a proper conversation on the phone. I can hear fine, but when i talk the other person just gets wind noise.

Any pointers?

Can the other person hear you if you’re stationary? If not then there’s a problem twixt microphone and Autocom, possibly a fault in the mic itself. If conversation IS possible when stationary then I suspect you have not got the mic close enough to your mouth. Mine touches my lips, this was recommended by the tech guys at Autocom when they fitted my headset, to stop the noise-cancelling mic cutting out your voice 'cos it thinks it’s extraneous noise.
