Asda, Isle of Dogs...

keep an eye on ya bike, looks like they want it, but dont yet know where it is;)

What time of day/night was this!

Haha yeah Joby might be a two person job though, Tom as a bait with his bright orange bike gets followed by these idiots and then someone surprises them from behind with a Road Rash! I hate that you can’t even go to a supermarket without worrying about your bike.

Isle of dogs is a serious bermuda triangle as far as motorbikes go trust me if you aint known in that manor its a matter of when not if.

love how everyone goes on about i’d **** this thief up i’d do this and that, truth half wont do ****, and the other half would get hurt trying!

pro thiefs aint stupid, most of them are prepared for it if someone does try to stop them.

also agree with redrat.

Thanks for that.

I’ve moved out of the area now, but I used to live just around the corner, and my bike was targeted by a pair of wannabe thieves 3 times despite being tucked away in a corner of an underground garage, invisible from outside - http://londonbikers.com/forums/930042/someone-tried-to-steal-my-bike-last-night

I always wondered how they knew my bike was there, but I used the Asda a lot, so it could have been that (or a thousand other ways I guess).

Well done on your observational skills - how’s your physical security? An upgrade might be a good idea?

Overnight the bike is wedged between a wall and my car. Chained from rear wheel over the seat and alarm disc locked. So they couldn’t even lift it from that position. Only way would be to take my car first. Which they are welcome to

A gsxr thou double anchored with car in front went missing they just rolled the car first

****. They will stop at nothing will they. Best move back to a base. Armed Guards

even better, a KTM Motard, and A Gixxa, car in front to get past the car you had turn sideways and shuffle, somehow they got teh two bikes through and they never moved the car or left any prints at all, all from a well secured garage.

you wont stop them if they are proper pro thiefs, very crafty people.

Must have been Dynamo. No other ****** could pull off a trick like that!

From gixxerjunkies I recall a k3 thou being anchored across the wall of a garage with a car nosed up to it. Piccie after the scum visited showed just a frame, swingarm and rear wheel remained. Seriously, nothing more, no wiring, screws, clips, just as though piranha’s had been at a person… and all taken out over the car with no one seeing/hearing a thing… forks, yokes, absolutely everything bar frame, swing arm and rear wheel.

Oooooo to have a few minutes alone with these scum…!

So if the locals don’t know you, you’ll get your bike nicked? Remind me never to take the bike to the Isle of Dogs!

How would you make yourself known around the manor then, so as to hang on to your pride and joy?

I grew up round that way was a cab driver for 5 years out of an office on westferry road an still have family living on there an still wouldnt risk leaving my bike anywhere on there though trust me most of the locals are abit naughty when i say locals i mean familys born an bred long before it became gotham city an trendy .

A bit naughty - i.e. they’re criminals? Or just pwopah nawwty in a Danny Dyer type way?

Either way, clearly a place to avoid, so cheers for the heads up!
