Blimey, just scrolling around that page and seeing the faces of so many people who have given their lives makes the cost of war so real.
This type of thing gets my backing. The families should be very proud but must be so very devastated.
i would normally be very cautious of supporting something like this, but many family members have supported it so it appears appropriate…
Thanks for this link OJspoon, some times we go through life and wonder how that person is getting on (RIP Shazza, condolences to the family)
I’d rather see Bush and Bliar put on trial for their deaths (and the 10’s of 1000’s of Iraqi’s killed too) rather than some nice artwork . . . this kind of thing takes the focus away from the real issues, the fact we shouldn’t have been in there in the first place, nobody needed to die, especially not our service men and women.
understand and agree with your points mate, but this is prob not the topic to vent them
this is about the sad losses in the services, the losses to the iraqi people are just as important and so are the mistakes our government has made, but lets keep this topic about honoring the service men and women who have fallen cheers ![]()
Not venting just making a point and standing up for those in my family who died. By trying to honour them in this way provides an unintentional cover for the political madness that is responsible for their deaths - I would hate for my family’s war deaths to be used in this way and I wonder what the majority of the familes feel.

Never forgotten Misty,
Blue-the seas we crossed,
Red- the blood we spit,
Blue- the skies we fought under.
Forever in our minds,
Forever remembered in our hearts
Forever etched in our souls.
Always.
