Was going home. Thoguht I will go easy today as had backpack full of stuff (not porn). Had my lunch in there aswell. Brent Cross fly-over. Blue lights just after it from the side of the road… I was in 6th… Cooper told me 72 in 40 zone… Nice…
OK I started talking politly to them. After my last time had many advices. Using word ‘Sir’ time to time…
Explained that I understand it was little too fast. Said I completly understand what I’ve done. Explained that I don’t usually go at this speed. It was accidental this time etc etc… Still got done. Said how sorry I was, apologized them again at the end…
Firstly it’s second time this week. Not good. Worse is that it was the only time on my own when I was going slow ! Didn’t even try to speed. True didn’t look at speedo, but 3 lanes, going slow nice and steady in 6th. I was going little faster than other cars. But would never expect coopers in that spot…
They still can’t deport me for that But with this ratio I will be banned from roads in 2 weeks…
And one question: Why police in this country don’t give anything after they pull you over and do you for something ? Been done twice this week and haven’t even got 1 piece of paper confirming any of this times I’ve been stopped :w00t:
I’ve just re-read the original post… I’d assumed when I first read it that you had been given a ticket… on reflection it says you signed a book… was it a little green book?
Can you remember what they actually said to you? What offence did they say they were reporting you for? If they want to deal with you for an endorseable offence, they cannot give you a ticket because you don’t have a UK licence. You have to go to court. If they are satisfied that you have a driving licence, insurance and an MOT if your bike is over 3 years old, they won’t need to give you any paperwork at the side of the road.
For your latest interaction with the Police…because speeding is an endorseable offence again you cannot have a ticket… you have to go to court. You’ll get your bit of paper in a couple of months time… in the form of a cunningly worded invitation to attend Magistrates Court…
If he been stopped for speeding he should have been given a FIXED penalty notice, I did and now the nice policemen of bedfordshire looking after licence till I pay the £60 :w00t:
oh and it was the jolly federales of Cambs who originaly stepped in front waving like a loon
shoulda squished him and said brakes on truck failed
+1 and at this rate he may as well set up a tent outside the magistrates…Arnie, when i said ‘wind your neck in’ that didn’t mean start breaking more laws…:ermm:
Didn’t you notice the coppers when you took them over?
I have no mirrors but I know that there are no cops behind me because I make dam sure that I don’t overtake any…
Basic law baking stuff Arnie.
and they didn’t say anything about you plate this time?
Because if they don’t, you just sorted your problem. Jut make sure that you are always at least 30 miles over the speed limit when you get pulled over and you don’t need to do anything about the number plate ;):P:D:):hehe:
Did you know you are supposed to exchange your licence to a UK one once you have been here 6 months? I’m only saying because I didn’t realise until I did my CBT and somebody pointed out that by law I should have changed it over.
I think that you will find out that this is mo longer the case since 2002
however if you want to had a bike licence to you car one in I’m then yes, you need to change it
I changed mine in 1998 but as I had enough of playing with points and coppers I got my French one ack last year
Check before getting yours back but I think it is actually a European thing. They declare that forcing a EU citizen to surrender his national license was going against the free movement of goods and people within the community.
