Aprilia Pegaso Trail

Has anyone any knowledge about getting rid of the bloody great hole Aprilia build into the power band of the current Strada/Pegaso models?

Not the worlds most grunty engine but o.k. for commuting except…

Between 3,200 and 3,900 RPM the engine hunts for fuel and when you accellerate from there either not much happens or you get the whole lot delivered in a lump. Makes the greasy South Circular roundabouts quite interesting.

The dealers seem to be saying there’s no problem, or, “they all do that”. (That’s o.k. then?)

Came across some airbox mods to cure the problem. But I’ve lost the post.

I’m in need of help, please!
