anywhere around here that does Shock regassing ( nitrogen based)

Ok short of it is … sent shock away to be refurbed and it has been returned and refurbed ( new piston rod had to be made as well due to the corrosion damaging the seals in first place)

But in their re assembly they have attached the remote reservoir banjo union facing 180 degrees the wrong way ( to the right instead of the left ) and seeing the firm that have done this are based in bradford it means not having the bike for another four days minimum again … have notified them of the problem and want to find out if there is a firm in the area that does this that i can just basically take the shock to and get them to just undo the banjo , rotate it to its correct position and re gas and if the firm that has refurbed the shock will cover the cost to save the hassle of returning the shock and them having to post again etc … so any ideas …

Not going to slag the company off as it is a easy mistake in my opinion just that its annoying …

Looking at your first post, you’re near Staines, so if I was you I’d try giving PDQ a call as they’re pretty near you & an Ohlins service centre, so should be able to do it for you.

A fill should only be about £15 if you take the shock off and takes minutes.

Finally all done

went to pdq and yes £15

Did try Merit tyres as they use nitrogen for tyres but their will only go up to 90-100 psi whilst shock needs 143

Problem sorted and yes refurb will re imburse costs
