my nephew is having probs with spyware, namley keylogging on his comp how does he get rid of it? what program should he use?
can’t recommend a free one, but you can get illegal ones for free.

The gadget show on channel 5 did a piece on it last week and they also list a few spyware programs on the five.com web site under the gadget show. I’m afraid I can’t remember if they were all free though.
I remember them talking about Spybot. I’m glad i have a Mac, and don’t have to worry about this and viruses.
Spybot - Search and Destroy is what I use, I think I got it from www.download.com

Yep! I totally agree with ya tonyTRX, the main reason IS because of the v small worldwide market share. I read in a Mac user that there’s only been 5 viruses written for Macs as hardly any corperations use them. And actually said not to bother with an antivirus software as it would be a waste of money? dont know how true that is though?
If you know of any spyware software I can use on a Mac let us know as I’m sure a Mac is as vunerable in this area. the one’s i know are PC only

Don’t use p2p, there are far better ways of getting ‘free’ copies out there. I can anyway 
p2p is probably where he got the virus from in the frist place.
The one the Gadget Show was Avast. Pretty good, finds most things but its a pain in the ar5e when doing Binary Newsgroup downloads (if you dont know what that is then dont worry, it wont effect you). Plus its only free for 1 year, but by then they’ll be another one to download from somewhere.

I use Adaware and spybot search and destroy. Search for ‘Lavasoft’ for Adaware.
