We had a giant Stag Beetle in our garden a couple of years ago, that wasn’t much smaller than that and the fugger flew:w00t::w00t::w00t:
Eeek. Just thinking might wear boots & crash helmet all day (in the house) if those type of things are flying about!

I want one for a pet.
I give these things their own space.
Don’t have a particular problem with them, just hope they appreciate me leaving them alone.
Now big, fat, leathery slugs I do have problem with.
No probs with slugs here - hedgehogs eat them.
Then it becomes a bit of a problem when the dog gets a hedgehog and tries to bring it in the house.
Have to keep an old pair of biking gloves handy to rescue HH from dog’s mouth and deposit it gently into next door’s overgrown garden.
