Hi everyone,

I live in Greenhithe (near Bluewater) and wondered if there’s bikers around in this area and if there’s any local meetup apart from the Oakdene Cafe further south.

I live about 15 miles away in Westerham. Often out for a blast at the weekend or after work on weekday evenings. You might also consider the local IAM group who meet-up the last Thursday of every month at Brands Hatch and go for ride the last Sunday of each month. See http://www.kamg.org.uk/

I think the next group ride is to the Swan Hotel in Alton.

I’m not far away at all. Abbey Wood area. I ride out to past Chelmsford for a nice ride out to SouthEnd on Sea area and further north. Great roads up that way.

Not many in terms of ‘Bike meets’ blackheath tea hut is normally quite busy with bikes in the warm weather though, especially wednesdays.

Tend to head for surrey for the good roads myself westerham/ edenbridge/ otford way :slight_smile:

Best sterch is the top of the b2026 from the a25 westerham to edenbridge, all nsl road as well :smiley:

How about Edenbridge to Tunbridge Wells? (B2026 and A264). Love those roads and their twisties! :slight_smile:

I’m Dartford way, not that many meets apart from Oakdean. I don’t go there as it seems very klickie. Blackheath is good for a brew or Box Hill, can take some nice roads to it.

If you want to venture a bit further there is Rye Quay which is very popular all year round probably cus of the fantastic roads in them parts:w00t:

bit further out near maidstone but know and travel the same roads.

up the A20 near brands and only 10 minutes from home.

An hour later i’m still en route via ofham, otford,westerham…

Box Hill is a hell of a ride for me and my Bros 400.
That’ll have to wait until I get a bigger faster one.

I miss the roads around Westerham, used to live in the area.
Used to watch the races with some folks around Hayes last year but seems to have vanished…

blackheath tea hut is no option for me.
I don’t see the point of riding into town when I’m already out in the countryside. But I might come along to the Borough Market meet on Wednesdays, see if I can spot familiar faces from last year :smiley:

Otherwise we just have to have a little meet up in the south east… and preferably a bit further out than Blackheath :wink:

cant remember the name of it but there is a cafe right on your door step wed night.

i have only been there a couple of times but there is always bikes hanging about on wed.

from bluewater you just head out towards the A2, take the slip road marked A2 dover and along there on your right is the cafe set back from the road a couple of hundred yards before you get to the A2.
