They seem to have a large stock of bikes, and having spoken with a manager there today, he said they buy and sell bikes very quickly, usually selling 20-30 bikes a day.
Do any of you have any first hand knowledge or experience of Superbikefactory, or possibly second hand experience?
Believe they are linked to we buy any car…same sort of business structure…there is a few companies all linked together mostly up north midlands way, have loads of advertisements on autotrader…I think it can be hit and miss with them some people are just off loading bikes with problems to them they clean them up and sell them at a premium,I would rather find a private seller that has loved and taken care of the bike.
acemAn you are so naive at times. Selling 20 to 30 motorcycles a month would be good going for any outlet to achieve, 20 to 30 a day would probably require 20 to 30 outlets spread far and wide across the EU.
Intelligence applied - It would take a small army of staff to buy-in, advertise, sell, prep, admin and shift 20-30 motorcycles a day on a regular basis and a warehouse the size of Wales for showrooms, offices, workshops and stock?
Considering they have 457 bikes currently listed on Autotrader, I don’t think it’s a stretch for them to sell 20 a day. Especially since their prices are usually the lowest for any bike you care to search for. My issue with them and the reason why I haven’t bought from them, is in their adverts they don’t write any information about the specific bike- it’s just a stock blurb about them and tells you to call for more information on the bike itself.
I got my current bike from them. The ad said it had 8k miles but then found out the MOT history was 13k miles 2 years before. The odometer must have been swapped (not by them).
Foolish of me not to bother checking but that’s a lesson learnt. I bought the bike without seeing it too. I didn’t bother raising this with them since I had already paid £250 to get it delivered from them (somewhere up North) and the bike looked to be in decent condition.
The bike itself has served me well for 6 years so no complaints there.
I still need to get rid of my 125 as I cannot afford to insure it, so was looking to see if it is worth getting a quote from there. Sounds like they do not care about quality so it probably is!
The business model appears to be selling credit through motorcycle sales to unfortunates with dodgy credit ratings. Cash buyers seem to be happy with their purchases. The motorcycles appear to poorly prepared for re-sale and the credit comes in at >12% APR, a whooping four times more than some of the better deals out there.
I am in Streatham but I transferred my NCB to the 500, so to insure it too would mean starting from scratch. TPO would be almost £300 with MCE, then over £500 with anyone else. It would be useful to still use it around town and the odd fun trip but I cannot justify that much extra for it.

See how much it costs to add to the 500 policy, it might not be that much more for a multi bike policy. Though you'll probably have to pay an admin fee to change it mid-policy.
