anyone doing a track day soon? Anyone, anyone, Buller, anyone?

I need more track days, was thinking No Limits - Snett 11th Aug as I can do it in a day.

Anyone doing this, or others in a days driving?

Brands Hatch GP this wednesday.

Stop winding me up, haven’t done Brands yet so on the list!

I knew you were on this, but was fannying around waiting for mates to confirm and now its full… :frowning:

Think ill just book them myself in future, my misses has let me put a towbar on her mini, so no having to rely on mates for transport

ahh ha, booked Snett on the 11th Aug…yay!

Hmm, could be…

Although what I’ve got in the calendar probably won’t suit you. I’m at Snett 17th August for a Novice only day and then I’m doing the Odiham RAF ARD on 21st September. My main criteria is that I have to book a weekend day, as taking yet more time off of work doesn’t seem to go down to well.

Silverstone on 11th August with No Limits?

Saw it too Stu, it’s full…pooo

mm like the look of the novice day at snett was gonna book into a novice group at bedfordshire but if i can get a van sorted think i will book myself onto this.

I’m looking to do Bedford on the 18th and Brands on the 28th

Go on, book it. You know you want to :D. Would you consider riding as far as Snett if you can’t beg, borrow, steal or, at the last resort, buy a van?

When you book (not if), PM me your number if I don’t see you beforehand and we can set up together there. I might even lend you my pit bitch for the day.

really not sure about riding there ,well could ride there but its my first track day and its the ride back that is a bit of pain still trying to get used to the handle bars on the 675 lol,99.9% i should have a van sorted will update in a week ,if all goes to plan you are welcome to put anything you might need in the van unfortunately it will only be able to fit 1 bike though so i can’t offer you bike transport.

I’m lucky enough to have a ridiculously indulgent - and quite mad, obviously - BF who’s happy to stick the bike on a trailer and drive us all there. In principal, I wouldn’t mind riding to a trackday but knowing from experience how tiring it is for me, the offer of a lift is very welcome. It also turned out to be invaluable when I binned the Triumph…

If you’re going to be short of space, I can return your offer and say we’ll have loads of extra room in the car if you need to chuck anything in with us. However, if that involves cake or biscuits of any description, I can’t guarantee that they’ll arrive safely

^
yes yes yes I’m happy and a little nervous with excitement,I’m booked and have van sorted:D… however I’m still well unorganised have never even looked at the track layout ,still got to get boots, gloves and leather trousers…

don’t think of me as a complete nooby ,been riding 15 years just at the mo only gear suitable for track is jacket and lid…:hehe:

I have pretty much spare everything which I could offer to lend you… But I’d be mildly worried if any of it was likely to fit you :w00t:

Glad you’re booked on for next SUNDAY :D. I’m really looking forward to it already, although my sum total of preparing for it consists of having watched the Bemsee there a couple of times a few years back and buying some engine protectors (which are still sat in my bedroom in their packaging  ).

Edit - Sat? Sun? I’m lucky if I can keep track of the month sometimes, let alone the day!

^
umm think its sunday ,i dunno some women would die for my legs and arse…:P,getting most stuff sorted this weekend…
actually have a vw transporter now, possibly fit two bikes in there depending where you are located ,or if anyone else fancies it the offer is there.

ah all done and dusted home safely,my first ever track day and the first session had a little bit of rain pretty scary rear wheel squirming around especially on heavy downshifts, the rest of the sessions were dry and what a great day it was ,went on my jack jones and every one their made me feel welcome, straight away a group of 4 people said i can share their garage , got talking to them about track days in spain,I’m now considering a 4 dayer at cartegna spain in october.

p.s didn’t see you there janey, hope all is well.

I was wondering how you got on. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Have you been online ad got your next one booked yet?

Various reasons meant I couldn’t make it. Ho hum, there’ll be other trackdays :frowning:

Will be having a look toniight booking another one to do within the next two weeks ,was tempted to do brands hatch evening session tonight as I’m working not far from there but didn’t really have time to sort the bike out last night
