Anybody ridden to Ukraine ?

Any particular problems having a UK passport and riding into Ukraine ? I guess an agency is best way to get visa. In particular Pripyat, Chernobyl area. Anybody been there ?

No not yet (by bike) but sounds like a challenge. Let us know of developments, sounds very interesting.

my mate Bob rode through Chernobyl last year.

here’s a pic

dude if you see him again can you tell him he left this round my mum’s house last thursday?

LMFAO :D:D:D:D

BUT We should get back to the serious subject - it does look very interesting Steve.

well i’m riding to Croatia in September BUT too chicken to go through eastern europe on my todd.

I’ll be riding to Ancona in italy then getting the ferry across to Hvar.

job’s a good 'un

We are off to Nordkapp in 15 days!!! Getting excited (a bit) now!

Have to ask why ‘too chicken’. Whats to be scared of in Eastern Europe? Beautiful scenery, friendly locals, cheap beer. No worries.Mind you they do drive like nutters out there…

Looks like you answered your own question then:)

just the fact that they all drive like nutters out there mainly…:stuck_out_tongue:

…seriously though just language barriers etc and my Bosnian friend who will be coming from Sarajevo to Hvar has talked me out of coming through hers or the surrounding countries.

Really means:

“Can’t wait to get to her …sod the surrounding countryside … romantic urges calling … etc”

The question is would it be safer to travel with someone else than on your own…doesn’t improve the odds really. Suppose you could always let your travel companion ride ahead, especially when approaching bends.Could give her a couple of hours head start when you get near Chernobyl and ask her to call you if she starts feeling sick. If she manages to do this without the use of a mobile turn round and go back the other way.:hehe: Or skip it and go straight to the main event :stuck_out_tongue:

:smooooth:i couldn’t possibly comment…:smooooth:

yeah but 3’s a crowd…:Whistling:
