Not following a bit close? Did you indicate to go into lane (might have got her to look up and see you in mirrors)
Wierd road layout too. Goes to 3 lanes, then 2 without much warning. Tough but well seen and avoided!
Some of us are old enough to remember when every Beetle had Mary Quant flowers painted on it!
If you can’t make the gap don’t try for the overtake…
#Looked like the driver just carried on while you tried to crash into a central reservation…
+1 (sorry)
Its a perception thing.
I get what you mean about drivers wandering around between painted lines.
But all of them do it on road layouts where lanes merge or follow non straight line paths.
I even find myself doing it in the car.
These days, I’m happier waiting for the right moment to pass. Or make and effort to clear any forward traffic on the straights.
Try and predict cars movements more. They are not looking out for you, thats your job.
Looking at your vid it would appear that you are in the wrong.
However, looking at the stretch of road on googlemaps, gives a different & clearer perspective, there are clearly 1 LH turn lane & 2 continuous forward lanes with a bit of a lefthand curve in the road layout:
The car was in the lefthand of the 2 forward lanes but failed to stay in that lane through the curve as they just drove straight ahead rather than follow the lane’s curve to the left, probably due to the worn out lane markings through the junction, so they ended up in the RH lane that you were quite legitimately occupying.
Obviously a junction to be wary of in the future!
Yes guys I know it’s better to wait. Just passing that place 2-4 times a day it hapens every time so I thought will share it. There is also exit to the right on that junction for highway maintanance garrage. A bit confusing for some ppl
Alwaus good to share as people who ride that section can look out for it and be made aware
I go past there nearly every day and people always do that. They also like to jump between lanes just before the Westferry DLR.
In my opinion it is clearly two lanes, always has been, she should have stayed in her lane.
