Thats true, but then I think 95% mileage-related servicing is still within a ‘hobby mechanics’ reach. Oil, filter, fork oil, chain+sprox, headrace bearings, valves and so on.

When it comes re-filling sealed gas sussy units and things like that, the price of equipment required means that its more cost-effective to have it done by a professional.

Unfortunately, it’s increasingly likely that you throw the damned thing in the trash can and buy a new one. Or pay a professional to do that for you because the handbook is silent on that widget.
