Get well soon Rana, also passed by the site last night (its literally 100m from where I live) and at 11:30pm it was still closed off and lots of bike bits around, not a good sight.Will pop over this afternoon to see her, prob around 6ish

what happened ???
well as best we can tell at the moment from what Rana said was she was travelling East from hammersmith , came from the lights , not sure if she set off from the lights or just rode through a green, was going up the flyover/incline and decided to ovetake a car, she pulled out and apprently the bike headed straight for the central reservation , she hit it, and managed to then fly into the path of an oncoming people carrier.
looking at the scene iys the car that saved her, if she had hit the road she would probably have been worse off, thank god for crumple zones .
all the usuall spinal checks etc were done and shes lucky , so very lucky to get away with just the broken leg and bumps and bruises.
when we arrived the bike was on the central res, and she was in an ambulance.
Traff pol were talking about accident investigation as they coudnt work out exactly what had happened, we await an update.
there was a mention by traff pol that there had been a diesel spill reported there recently… maybe that is a factor.
thanks for all your kind words of support and i’ll make sure she gets them, though she will be home reading this before you know it.

Good god, that is frightening. It is good all the spinal checks are clear, and as you said she is lucky. You get well soon girl.

UPDATE
Have spoken to the hospital, apparently she had a quiet night , and they are planning the operation for today .
sof anyone was going to pop over might be worht givingthem a ring first , save a journey , if shes in theatre or just post op and doped up.
