Just got back from Charing Cross Hospital where Rana was taken after her accident on the A4 just before the big Tesco after Hammersmith flyover coming in to town.
She is OK apart from a broken tibia (not sure which leg). She was in good sprits considering when Bluestar and myself spoke to her although as you can expect with the amount of pain killers pumped in to her she was a bit woozy they have moved her on to a ward for tonight with the hope of operating on her tomorrow.
Bluestar (John) and her family went up to the ward with her when I left and John said he would update everyone on her progress as when he finds out.
Her bike has been recovered but as we didn’t get chance to have a proper look at it, it is unclear how bad the damage is but main thing is Rana OK.
Get well soon mate, it won’t be long before your out on the road again.
The main thing is that she is ok, bikes can be fixed people cant
From what i saw of the bike when i come back from chelsea bridge it looks like they will write it off
side fairings and tank were on central reservation all smashed and bike was near the turning as you come from earls court onto the A4 bike front damaged but thats all i can tell you
From both Tasha and I, we wish Rana all the best for recovering as quick as possible. We passed through the accident area on the way home and it was still closed off. I’m sure there’s going to be no shortage of get-well-soon’s from the community.
If she’s in hospital for any time, we need to get on the case quickly with putting together an LB-Love package.
Always sad to hear of a member having an off, obviously more so when it’s traumatic.
Hope she is on the mend soon, tibea’s a big one to break! Let us know if I can be of any help, even if it’s just taking a few magazines into the hospital for her…
Thought’s also go out to the unlucky guy who had the off in Southwark Street this afternoon:ermm:
This is really really s)hit…Rana dosen’t deserve this…shes been so supportive after my offs …i can not tell you how gutted i am hearing this bad news…
i hope you a very speedy recovery hun and please…take it easy…will try and get up to see you soon…my thoughts are with you tonight…they really are and i soo know what your going threw…
well finally got in from the hospital, and its the right leg shes broken , and they have said it will need an operation probably the old pins and scaffold.
its likley to happen tomorrow or friday and they expect her to be home 2 days after that all things going to plan.
she was smiling but also as you can imagine very upset and in pain, i passed on lots of the LB love that i recived for her via phone and i know she appreciates it.
family will be around and im sure some of you will pop in to Charing cross, ward 7 south. visiting 1430 to 2000 i think,
please stagger it as best you can .
she wil be quite well sedated untill after the op.
I will of course pass on all your best wishes and she will be back with us very very soon .
stace, ginger, andy, lou etc thanks for your support and help, proves what a great bunch LB are.
This happened just ahead of us last night so we pulled off and went another way, not knowing it was Rana.
Going back past the accident scene seeing what was left of the bike and the road being closed off my stomach sunk thinking maybe her injuries were alot worse than I had heard.
Rana we hope you get well soon hunny, I’ve an appointment at CX Monday so if you’re still there I’ll pop up to the ward.
Noooooooooo:crying: Cannot believe this…poor Rana get well soon luvvie:kiss: What actually happened? i cant beleive your lovely machine is written off:angry: so unfair…
GWS, heal fast and put the worst behind you. Don’t worry about the bike, it is just a piece of metal/plastic. The real thing is that you should be up and walking again.
