i can understand a video camera on your bike for backup if someone takes you out and you need evidence but to show off seriously breaking the law and then post it on youtube to give us all a bad name…

I’ve got to do a similar route today to get down to Bognor. Something tells me there may be an extra police presence on the A27 today!

I was about to say it looks like a CBR600! - same instruments and view as mine. I can totally understand the cam thing though. Yep its good in an accident but if you’re going somewhere scenic its nice to capture some of the scenery and experience the same “first person view” thrill - no matter what the speed.
Breaking the law isnt big or clever but am I going to be the only one to put their hands up and admit to being a bit naughty like that in a previous life? No? Not even once for 2 or 3 seconds?
I’ll wag my finger at him too but i’d still watch the vid and enjoy it. I think its only human nature to be curious.
Yeah, who can honestly claim they haven’t enjoyed watching a few minutes of any of the Ghost Rider vids ???

Fact is the speed laws in this country are about popluation control, political correctness and minority groups fighting to ban everything to do with progress, vehicles and freedom…its virtually nothing to do with road safety…

i’ll have to say i’m with you on that one. I’ve never gone that fast on my bike but with how empty the roads are sometimes it wouldn’t be hard. having said that though i do care about other road users and my family so yes i may stray over the limit from time to time i’d rather arrive late than never.
I think he’s an idiot for posting it up for everybody else to see, especially as it’s not even a very high peak speed, nothing to be that proud of there, but the damage it does to other bikers could be tremendous.
As 2strokes said, no damage done and nobody injured. Not seen the video so we don’t really now if he was riding dangerously or not but given the first the police knew about it was when the video was identified to them, they can’t have received any complaints about the rideing can they.

I hope he’s caught and I hope he’s banned - for a long time just for bragging about it - tell your mates down the pub but not the world.
Sussex Police have a less than favourable opinion of speeding bikes at the best of times.
As for being safe at that speed - he may well have been BUT he can’t have planned or been prepared for any of the actions of the other road users who shared the road with him. The average car driver is ill equipped to deal with a speeding bike if they themselves have no experience of fast driving.
It’s a recipie for disaster in my opinion.
