As charity events go, this one is a first for colleagues at Halifax Bank of Scotland in Leeds. Every year staff take part in a charity event called Fun in the Sun, raising money for good causes. For the last two years that cause has been the Teenage Cancer Trust, last year more than £80,000 was raised. This year, on the 6th December one team aim to raise even more.
Using the talents of TV chef’s and global culinary travellers and motorbike lovers Dave Myers and Si King, otherwise known as ‘The Hairy Bikers’, they will host a dining event that will consist of an internationally themed six-course meal, overseen by Dave and Si, as well as an after dinner speech and auction by the biking duo. The event has 15 tables for two going up for auction on E-bay on the 17th November for 10 days. Along with this, the three highest winning bidders from the auction will receive hotel accommodation in Leeds on the night of the event.
