PLEASE, when crossing the road at rush hour (in very heavy traffic with your young child in their pushchair) try not to come running out from in front of transit vans without looking (don’t forget your pushchair is a 5 foot extension of yourself). if i hadn’t have been pre-empting such stupidity & carelessness from a mindless pedestrian i’d have probably hit that pushchair and i really really really don’t like to consider the consequences :pinch:
ps. i’m just glad it happened to me and not one of the equally mindless scooter riders that seem to be occupying the roads at the moment - pps. suit trousers offer no protection in a crash
Maybe not, but have you seen those awesome kevlar tracksuits that seem to popular in the SE at the moment? They come accompanied by kevlar socks and trainers
mental, i see so many pillion ridden scooters around and the pillions are always waving their hands about and the driver…well…due care and attention collided with reckless driving to make them idiots. And as for the kid ridden push chair before the mother, well thats just mindless parenting crossing between parked vehicles. Glad your ok though.
That happend to a mate of mine he hit the push chair went flying through the air landed on the road and did not get up or look the woman came over and asked if he was ok, lucky for him the push chair had the local papers in it and not a kid.
He was still very upset by the whole thing and it put him off riding for a while.
