I was pottering along in lane 1 yesterday on the M25 by the M3 exit and went to overtake a truck. Headed into lane 2. There was a VW pasat in front of me doing about 75mph and weaving about a bit. I kept my distance. A little further along the vw in front slowed for traffic so i popped into lane 3 and drew alongside.

Female driver, mascara brush in one hand, bottle in other, steering with knee looking up into mirror taped inside her sunvisor and doing that mascara thingy to here eyelashes! DOING 74MPH!! IN LANE 2!

Couldnt believe it. Dropped back again and let her go. Got past later on then by junction 9 she came zooming past at about 90MPH. Must have finished her make up and thought, right lets get to work now.

I’m amazed. How stupid can you be?

Sincerely beleive a ‘common sense test’ is needed pre-driving test… and a regular re-test, say every 5 years, fail it and you get your green P plates back, fail the re-sit and you lose your licence. (I’d apply that to all vehicle licence holders though, not just cars…)

Can you not get them for dangerous driving for doing something like that ? I guess it’s probably without due care ?

Amazing ??? Not really, as you’ll learn, it’s actually just another normal day on the M25…

the worrying thing is that some people do think that such behavior is “normal” and it is not confined to the M25

The government should introduce a scheme where you can SMS a pic of offenders and recieve a small reward if convicted:D

Good plan chunks, but unfortunately flawed. I wouldnt wanna be pulling out my mobile and taking a snap at 74mph, be as bad as her!

As posted a few months back, a cager blew through a red light in front of me just as I pulled off. Luckily he missed me although I doubt he saw me as he was driving with his knees whilst he ate a bowl of cereal:angry:
