All weather/year tyres - Dunlop qualifier 2 or Michelin pilot power

Hi guys,

I am looking to get a new set of all weather/year tyre for my 99 R1 since I am not a track user so I have been doing a bit of research and I kind of made up my mind to get a set of Dunlop qualifier 2 which will cost me about £250 including fitting but then I had a chat with my local garage guy and he recommended Michelin pilot power (not the 2CT) which he thinks it is as good as the Dunlop and it only costs me £200 including fitting.

I know tyres is very subjective but I would like to hear some of you guy’s thought on these two tyres especially if you used both brands. of course if you think there’s something better that both tyres and cost between £200 and £250 fitted I would love to hear that too.

cheers,

Dan

Dunlop II

I only had a set on for a week - but, I thought they were great. Heat up time was incredible, and no mishaps on a brand new tyre.

Someone else managed to take advantage of the tyres after it got nicked. Hope they got too much confidence and died.

I’m gonna randomly throw in Metzeler Sportec M5’s…massively impressed with them

cant go wrong with pilot road 2’s
