This morning at I was off to Danson Park with the family and right outside the entrance it looked like an R1 was trashed in a frontal accident. GSXR in Rizla colours was there as well. Ambulance and Police in attendance and a 4x4 car looked like it was part of the equation. I hope the rider + driver are okay. I was there around 11.30am I think.
Hope R1 rider is ok (I’m assuming the cager got off unscathed).
I know it can happen anywhere, but what an odd place to manage it.
Or am I thinking of the wrong entrance?
Isn’t that the real point of 4X4’s. No matter how much mayhem around you, you are pretty much immune.
No other justification for the damned things outside rural areas unless they are working vehicles being used for real work.
The 4x4 is built like a military vehicle and shouldn’t be coming into such frequent contact with the rest of us - no offence to you guys who use or have used these things for the purpose intended - people that have to periodically haul heavy loads across steep, rough and uneven terrain.
(I’d hate to see what happens when a range rover etc hits a small family car - the results for the saloons occupants have to be far worse than if they got hit by something of normal size and weight.)
Perhaps the global economic recession and increasing difficulty in ensuring a cheap and plentiful oil supply will curtail their numbers.
Anyway - back on topic! hope rider is ok!

i have just found out that was a friend of mine who i hadn’t seem for a while , he now is paralised becasue of a tosser in a 4x4
and it won’t be just the just the mirror that gets damaged
but the big fat ****** driving it

sorry to hear bout yer m8.wot part of the park was it? my nan use to live in danson lane and i remember where it met with the main rd, welling high st/bellgrove rd is it? and it was a horrible junction if turning out of the lane too.
