You shouldn’t take what politicians say on “face value” and I really would have expected an intelligent, educated person such as yourself to have realised that error far earlier. THAT is what scares me because if you, being above average intelligence can’t work this **** out then that means most people in this country will believe this ****.
Fair enough, it seems that you can’t build a home for £30k.
This does not change my opinion that social housing needs to be built, and that this would be better for everyone. Whether they used social housing or not.
