A week or so ago, I sold my MP3 player on ebay, agreed a price with the dude (less than I wanted, but still - that’s the nature of ebay!), he paid, I sent it off yada yada yada…
Got a message from him today saying thanks for leaving the 7,000+ songs on it (for the benefit of the priacy police - oops - forgot to clear it) and goes on to say that we have the same taste in music and he’s got a CD I might like - Stiff Little Fingers, Live In Glasgow, St. Patricks Day 1993, Numbered Limited Edition.
He bought 2 of them and is sending one down to me for free as a thank you - how sweet is that???
That’s a lot better than him getting back to you saying he’s a lawyer with the RIAA and you’ll get fined UKP 500,-- for every tune left on the MP3 player unless you can prove you own it
Yeah - it’s always nice to be nice, unless the opportunity to be naughty is funnier
+1
Aye - I bet things like that didn’t happen when thee were a lad - when all this here interwebby were all fields
It did once. And without the interwebby thingy. Sold a nice racing (pedal) bike and the bugger drove real hard bargain 'cos he new I needed the money for another bike.
Met up with him at a 25M time trial a few weeks later and he gave me half what he’d beaten me down by.
(The icing would to have beaten him in the trial. But I didn’t. What a bastard.)
