I thought they said any publicity is good publicity :ermm:

That Charlie Boorman and his mate Ewan were always standing up :P:D

Sorry, I got this wrong, I spoke with the rider that got stopped, it was a black BMW the copper was on (poss one of those 800s things?) .

Got my bike MOt’d in Dover last Friday and the guys there were telling me that there is an unmarked blackbird goading riders and then nicking them…

Arh, well it must all be your fault then!

If that’s accurate then surely that’s entrapment? :ermm:

Possibly, but not proveable.

True - I guess the only sensible thing to do if you’re out on the razz and fancy playing with another bike is let the bugger go in front and see if he takes off - if he does then try and reel him in

Going back to the original point - wot was the ā€˜charge’ with overtaking standing up, was it not in control or something ??

I stand up on the pegs when - going over a ā€˜sleeping policeman’ (old fashion phrase for whole road speed bump) or occasionally when trying to see in front of a vehicle for overtaking / positioning purposes.

Well there’s prolly a unit on its way to arrest you as we type! Can you her a helicopter?

Of course Roadcraft will tell you to pull back or move to the side to increase your forward vision. But Roadcraft aint the law…
