Today I finally managed to service my bike with the kind and thoughtful help of two LB’s who went out their way to help me wanting nothing but a sugar coated doughnut and a milk chocolate digestive as payment.
I’ll keep their ID’s anonymous as I’m sure they wouldnt like to be overwhelmed with requests from everyone - I’ll leave it up to them to identify themselves if they want to.
Just thought I’d post this to thank them and to remind everyone of what it means to be part of a biking community.
I think LB is full of some amazing people, from all walks of life, and with some amazing stories to tell and most of them are very very helpful some with their time, some with their knowledge and some with their camaradarie…but as I say most are
Just to add to the back-slapping I think that the LB forum and members is the best online biking resource that I’ve ever come across (and I’ve tried a few).
The day after I got my old duke last year i stupidly ran out of fuel. Guy stopped on an R1, bought me a petrol can and fuel, wouldn’t take any money as he said “someone did it for me once, favour returned”!.
No idea who he was, but what a fella, he saved the day after an embarrassing **** up of mine, thanks who ever you are.
…as a new biker last year I stumbled across this site when doing a google search on Carbon Can Co. and it popped up in the Praise section. Next thing I knew I was registered and out in London the following night with a load of now familiar faces - although finding them in the pub was interesting, just guessed at Grimbusa somehow and I was correct:)Top bunch and had some great times… Cheers all!!!
