I did the drive to Donny Friday night and it took over three hours and the return on Sunday late afternoon was about the same
I have found recently that coming out of town (West) M40, M42 is much more reliable- 2-21/2 hours, (But that obviously doesn’t take account of your time to join the M40). Worth a thought.
If you’re biking up Luton/Bedford/Corby/Kettering/Melton Mowbray/Nottingham is the most fun without too much deviation (Will take about the same time as sitting at 50 on the M1)
Other alternative come off the M1 at 15A Join the A5 North to Hinkley, A444 (great bike road) and M42.
I’ll roll out of bed at about 10, have a shower and breakfast and see you there for 11!
if anybody is stuck im not going but I can let you borrow one of my cars (the mother in laws) for the day
the only stipulation is you have to be over 25 for insurance
its a large estate and can seat 5 but 4 is comfortable its a diesel so wont hurt you pocket to much & I can deliver it as long as its on the Liverpool street train line

I wonder if it would be beneficial to compile a map of some sorts with locations where people need to picked up. Probably not our home addresses but pins on nearest tube stations or sumtn.

I know its Expensive but we can get the train from St Pancrass to East Midlands Parkway for £39 return. It leaves St Pancrass at 09:15 and gets us to East Midlands for 10:41 and leaves East Midlands at 17:43 getting us back to St Pancrass for 19;15.
It’s not the cheapest route there but its an Option. and it does away with the hassle of Traffic and we are all together as well so would be Fun

Coach from victoria is £41.30 and takes 4hr 20 mins without Traffic it wouldn’t get us there in time to sign on at 12 even if we had no traffic and it stayed at a constant speed all the way there
The train could be quite fun, will be interesting to see a bunch of biker rock up in full leathers to catch a train

Chris has done some research and he has found a Minibus firm that has a 24 seater that will pick up from the ACE @ 0700 and take us there, then bring us Back to the ACE when we are finished and it works out to about £25 each

It works out to £28.50 each, Departing the ACE at 0700 and then Departing Donington @ 1700
Chris is going to Ring the Ace to ask about parking there for the Day whilst we are at Donington
Sounds like a good plan to me, dibs on a spot on the bus
Or another Plan is to get 2 x 17 seater Self drive Mini Busses 1 coming from East collecting all the Hero’s this side then another from the West collecting all the West Side Zero’s
That will work out to about £15-£20 each and we aren’t tied down to parking at the Ace, we could do a collection point where people can get to to meet each bus, then the 2 Busses can meet at the services on the M1 and travel up together in Convoy.
