Alo all - first trip to the Isle this year and am going to ride up with a few others who haven’t been before. They are all hopeless at getting their arsis in gear, so it comes back to Tha Unit to make the plan bulletproof. Hmmm. Not the wisest choice of organiser.
Just wondering if any of you guy’s had any little nuggets of wisdom for me with regards to your experiences/travel acoomodation/good places/beer and the rest? Also, anyone else riding up from London?
Be bloody careful on Mad Sunday, as I’m sure Floyd will attest, there’s a lot of non Brits coming to the island who like to ride very fast, sometimes on the wrong side of the road, thinking they’re at a trackday.
I left it late to book accomadation once but phoned the IOM tourist board who sent me a long list. I started at the bottom, ready to work my way up it but the first place i tried was available. Turned out to be the reverend who was giving the blessing for the races.
Quality! Bit of sanctification before you go for a blast could certainly come in handy! Looks like I may be leaving the bike in London due to the the price of the ferry tho…bummer.
