Nice bike! Good price too…

Even better chicken strips! ;p x

Thanks, Conrad.

Only reason chicken strips are still there are because I broke my leg shortly after having the new tyres fitted, and therefore haven’t ridden it since!

Sqwuaaark! laid an egg!

Nice bike, but there’s a few reasons I’m thinking to stay away from sports bikes… theft, tiring on long rides (I want to tour a bit) insurance, city riding and so on… If only I had a garage or could have 2 bikes :’(

Hey man, don’t worry I was only joking about the chicken strips! I you ask me it’s a good thing for a potential buyer to see, because it makes it look like it’s been ridden conservatively and not thrashed hard.

Sorry to hear about your leg!

I’ve always wanted a Thundercat… I can’t afford it though :frowning:

Out of curiosity, how does it ride? Is the power top end, mid range, etc? What motorway cruising speed does it comfortably sit at, and what speed does it top out at?

Cheers

@BushcraftBarmy - In answer to your points:

  1. It’s not a ‘popular’ bike to nick - as long as you have a chain on it or something, it’s unlikely someone will take it (I’ve parked it in all areas of London over the past 2 years, without any problems)
  1. It’s a sports-tourer, and is quite comfortable. I’m 6"1, and haven’t had any issues - done several hundred miles of riding a day on it without any problems
  2. It handles pretty alright in the city
  3. Insurance is pretty good - I’ve had Carole Nash on it, and with 1 years NCB, Fully Comp was around £250 or so (due to it being over 10 years old)

In general, I’ve not known any Thundercat owner to complain about them…

@Conrad B - Yup - have taken good care of it, and it’s taken good care of me. I’d say the power is more mid-range or so, then again, I believe mine was tweaked a bit by the previous owner.
I usually do motorway riding between 70-80mph, and it’s nice and comfortable at that (especially with the double-bubble screen I put on it).
My previous Thundercat I managed to take up to 145mph or so, so it can definitely move!

Well, so far 5 emails from scams…but nothing else, lol. Hopefully someone might actually want it!
