2001 CBR600F-1 22k Miles £3,199

yeah its near enough for me, gimme a PM, can organise for after work one day.

cheers mate :), i’ll let you know whether i can get a reasonable price out of the dealer

Seems alot of mile s to me, I know the engine is good for it but I a sure theres better around.

i only have the biketrader website for reference, but the price seems about right compared to those on offer there…i dont want to buy private as i have zero ability to spot a lemon and i like the idea of a business i can get back at if there’s a major prob

i did forget to check how much service history it had, better be full for that price will ask when i call them later onwoo_woo> just realised, you may have not seen the second bike i am looking at a bit further into the posts on this topic

Too much money for that mialage , its not worth much more than £2400-£2500

cheers, i’m thinking of another 02 plate 11k miles £3395 posted some pics/info further into the topic

I will say it again…BE PATIENT

So far the pictures you have posted are of ROTTERS mate.

Leave it a couple of weeks an there will be hundreds more S/H bikes about when spring comes. Much better choice when the sun shines:)

Sorry who got the good deal Tiggi  You were so excited you’d have paid £3.5k! :stuck_out_tongue:

I got mine 2003 over a year ago now with 7k miles on the clock for £3.5k…try searching about a bit more. The deals are there to be had.

Ok, so maybe Dave done the haggling :stuck_out_tongue:

argh chunkmeister, why do you have to go and make sense like that!?!

although the supply goes up, dont the prices increase as well with more people looking to buy in spring?

but is it really a full rotter? with a little bit of work its not too bad, maybe if it was £3k…

You dont pay 3 big ones and expect RUST on a bike mate:cool:…specially from a dealer. Shows lack of attention to preparation IMHO

i agree. Tiggi’s bike had been lowered, recently serviced, came with Tax and MOT and was probably the most mint condition example of that aged bike i have ever seen.

She paid £3k. With 8k miles on the clock.

Dont settle for second best becase you are over eager.

Seriously, everyone is right, be patient. All I had to do to mine when I got it was get out & about and enjoy it and thats how it should be when you are spending 3k on a bike

thanks all for keeping me in checkthis is painful, all these years reading, watching and dreaming about bikes, i finally get the licence and its hurting seeing you all filter past me

looking at the private ads on bike trader, there are better examples, but am a bit nervous as never bought a car private let alone a bike

I bought both my car & bike privately, car was mint when I got it, not so mint now after 5 years!! You can usually tell if someone is dodgy, just make sure you take someone with a bit of knowledge about bikes with ya and you’ll be fine
